Man charged for church drive-by shooting

Detectives investigating a drive-by gun attack outside a church near Euston station in London have charged a man with conspiracy to wound with intent. A girl of seven was left in a critical condition after a gunman opened fire outside St Aloysius RC Church on Jan 14 while a memorial service was in progress inside.

Scotland Yard said Alrico Nelson Martin, 19, from Kilburn, had been arrested and charged and two other men were also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

A 12-year-old girl and four women were also injured in the shooting. One 48-year-old woman was said to have potentially “life-changing injuries”.
