BUCKINGHAM PALACE

April 30th

The King, Patron, Cancer Research UK, and Patron, Macmillan Cancer Support, and The Queen this morning visited University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre, Huntley Street, London WC1, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the Chairman of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (Rabbi the Baroness Neuberger), the Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Research UK (Ms Michelle Mitchell) and the Chief Executive Officer of Macmillan Cancer Support (Ms Gemma Peters).

Their Majesties, escorted by the Chairman and Mr David Probert (Chief Executive, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust), toured the Centre, viewing equipment and meeting patients and their families, clinicians and nursing staff, and charity representa­tives.

The King and The Queen, Patron, this evening gave a Reception for the London Clinic at Clarence House.

The Queen, Patron, later gave a Dinner for the London Clinic at Clarence House.

KENSINGTON PALACE

The Prince of Wales, President, the Earthshot Prize, this afternoon visited Low Carbon Materials, Unit 4, Jade Business Park, Spring Road, Murton, Seaham, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of County Durham (Mrs Susan Snowdon).

His Royal Highness afterwards officially opened James’ Place, 1 Summerhill Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Ms Lucy Winskell).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Vice Patron, Commonweal­th Games Federation, this morning held a Meeting.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Trustees, Prince Philip Trust Fund for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, this evening attended a Trustees’ Meeting followed by a Dinner at Windsor Guildhall, 51 High Street, Windsor, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (Mr Andrew Try).

The Princess Royal, Guardian, the Chaffinch Trust, this afternoon attended a Reception at the Reform Club, 104 Pall Mall, London SW1, and was received by Mr Stuart Shilson (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London). Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of London, later attended a Graduation Ceremony at the Barbican Centre, Silk Street, London EC2.

The Princess Royal, Commandant-in-chief, First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (Princess Royal’s Volunteer Corps), this evening presented Coronation Medals at Wellington Barracks, London SW1.

The Duke of Gloucester, Royal Patron, and The Duchess of Gloucester this evening viewed the “Michelange­lo: the last decades” Exhibition at the British Museum, Great Russell Street, London WC1.

The Duke of Kent, Patron, London Philharmon­ic Orchestra, this evening attended a Recital at 11 Downing Street, London SW1.
