The evening will feature the orchestra, under the baton of well-known Scottish fiddle player Yla Steven, BEM, playing marches, strathspeys, reels, jigs and hauntingly beautiful slow airs. With Dennis Haggerty, tenor; Martin Duncan, piper; and Fox Covert Primary School Choir.
22 March at 7.30pm The Dodge Brothers. £17
The Dodge Brothers are renowned for playing the hell out of classic Americana. Described as “wonderful stuff” by Radio 2 presenter Bob Harris, they play an exuberant hybrid of country blues, rockabilly, jugband and skiffle. Presenter and film critic Mark Kermode will start the evening talking about his book 'How Does It Feel?' before joining the rest of the band.
