Fifty years of great graduates
THIS YEAR Queen Margaret University (QMU) celebrates its 50th anniversary of drama and performing arts education. To mark the occasion, Prue Leith who is Chancellor of the University, viewed an outdoor exhibition in University Square which celebrates some of the alumni who have gone on to have careers as actors, performers, writers, directors, producers, cultural managers and entrepreneurs. These include comedian Craig Hill who is a notable man about town in Edinburgh, and a graduate of the university. He studied Drama at QMU. Hill has a show - I Aways Knew I Had it in Me! at Just the Tonic Nucleus during this year’s Fringe from 4 to 28 August.
