Challenge fund for innovators
THE SOCIAL INNOVATION CHALLENGE opens for applications to its new fund on 3 August. The call is for innovators requiring financial help in addressing climate change issues, mainly in rural Scotland, but it will help to meet net zero targets. The fund will award up to £50,000 in grants as well as business advice, and will support new social enterprises. The SIC is delivered by Firstport on behalf of The Scottish Government building on COP26. Social Justice Secretary Shona Robison said: “Scotland has a proud history of innovation, and the Social Innovation Challenge can play an important role in helping us achieve our net zero ambitions.”
