a reminder of home

Lt Col Nick Woolgar MBE and I are seen here sharing a passion for The Field with Somali warriors in the South West region (pictured left). They are a fantastic bunch of brave men who have a great appetite for training. There seem to be more than a few links between Somali and Scottish culture. Time will tell if we can manage a passing-out parade with pipes and drums. We are lucky enough to have a fantastic team of British soldiers here helping to bring stability to this stunning country. The Field brings us welcome reminders of home, thank you.
