Charitable nature

Presenting a good image for shooting is crucial and all participants and supporters must do their best in this regard. It never fails to impress me how often one reads about the numerous charity and fund-raising events that the shooting fraternity holds each year. However, what does surprise me is that nobody maintains a tally of these sums so that the public can be informed of the total.

I understand that no-one wishes to over-publicise such good works but I do believe that this would be useful ammunition when it comes to promoting shooting sports. Colin Sach
