LIFE IN THE OLD BOOTS YET
QI wonder if you could help me with an old-fashioned conundrum? I have a very old pair of Royal Hunter Wellies with studded soles. The studs have nearly worn away. I would like my eldest son to continue the superb use I have had from these boots but I cannot seem to find anyone who can repair them. It’s a shame to throw them away as they are good as new in all other respects. Can you help?

AThere are only a limited number of places where you can get such wonderful old wellies repaired. Busy Bee in Newmarket, Suffolk, repair a large variety of footwear, including gumboots. In the first instance, they suggest sending images of the soles to them at shop@busybeenewmarket.com. They have studs available for such a repair. Alternatively, go to their website and click on the ‘Pick Up My Repair’ link and follow the instructions. Most repairs take seven to 14 days. Tel: 01638 560616 or go to: www.busybeenewmarket.co.uk
