MICHAEL KEANE is being chased by Blackburn Rovers ahead of the loan window closing.

Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has serious injury worries at the back after seeing skipper Grant Handley ruled out with a calf injury and Manchester United’s Keane would be a perfect replacement.

Keane is no stranger to the Championship having had a month on loan at Derby County earlier this season.

The England Under-21 international has been told that he can got out again as the Premier League champions look to get him more first team experience.

Keane played 22 games for Leicester City last season but is yet to make his Premier League debut.

He is a player they rate highly but they would like to see him play more often between now and the end of the season.

Keane received offers from Charlton, Middlesborough and Millwall in November before opting to join the Rams.

Stockport-born Keane, 21, was a Republic of Ireland youth international before switching his allegiance to England.

LEEDS are poised to make a bid to sign Crystal Palace defender Dean Moxey on loan until the end of the season.

The Eagles have already knocked back a bid from Bolton but that is not putting off Leeds boss Brian McDermott. DANNY INGS will be a summer target for Southampton – years after they rejected him.

Winchester-born Ings started his career with the Saints before they let him go as a schoolboy and he signed for local rivals Bournemouth.

But they have regularly watched him in action this season and appear set to make a bid to sign him at the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has been in superb form for the Clarets, who are chasing automatic promotion to the Premier League.

And that hasn’t gone unnoticed with scouts from Newcastle United and Aston Villa among the clubs who have been monitoring his progress on a regular basis.

The temptation of returning to the south coast however could be too much for Ings to resist.

Saints’ mistake in releasing him could prove a costly one however, as Burnley are likely to demand around £10m for his services.
