MOORE IS MERRY AT COD CALL
NEW Fleetwood keeper Brendan Moore says he is delighted the gamble of making his transatlantic switch has paid off.
The North Carolina University graduate began training with the club at the turn of the year, and impressed sufficiently during his trial to earn a permanent deal this week.
“I’m an aspiring pro,” he said, “so once an opportunity came along to play at the Mecca of football, which is England, I decided to come over here and make the jump over the pond.”
Boss Graham Alexander added: “He’s a young goalkeeper with a lot of potential and is very highly thought of in America.”
