FA’S £21M CUP SPLURGE IS A DISGRACE

SHOULD the FA get a refund if FIFA fixed the World Cup voting? Maybe, but I’d ask what they were doing spending £21m in the first place.

I’ve asked a lot of questions in my life. It’s my job. And the last I checked, none of them left me £21m out of pocket.

Now, I know handbags and watches are expensive bits of kit. And flying David Beckham around the world ain’t cheap either.

But eight figures to ask a simple question of an organisation everyone knew was as crooked as a wizard’s finger? In a country where youth coaches scrape by on fifteen grand a year and grassroots clubs go bust every single week, that’s a disgraceful waste of resources.
