DONS GET STADIUM BACKING

AFC Wimbledon’s prospects of moving back to their spiritual home at Plough Lane have taken a step forward.

Members of the Dons Trust voted overwhelmingly (98 per cent) in favour of selling their current Kingsmeadow ground. The trust’s constitution now requires a second vote on the same issue, which will take place on November 16.

The Dons require the proceeds from the sale of Kingsmeadow to help fund their dream of returning to Plough Lane in the future.
