COOK STILL SEEKING RIGHT MIX

-

PAUL Cook is still seeking the right balance at Portsmouth and admits there is still work to be done.

Heading into the weekend, Pompey sat second in the League Two table, unbeaten in October and having conceded just twice in five games throughout the month – and Cook believes that defensive solidity is the key to success.

“Even though I’m an attack-minded manager, the solidity of our side has been very good recently,” said the 48-year-old.

“I want us to attack, be solid, play with a certain style – we’re ticking some of the boxes, but we’re not ticking them all. So it’s our job to improve as much as we can.”
