FERGUSON SWOOPS FOR GRANT

DONCASTER Rovers boss Darren Ferguson has begun reshaping his squad with the loan signing of left-sided midfielder Conor Grant from Everton.

Ferguson took charge last month after Paul Dickov’s departure in September and 20-year-old Grant is his first new addition.

Ferguson said: “He’s a good footballer, good size and he’s got a lovely left foot on him.

“He’ll understand straight away how we want to play because we try and play a similar way as Everton do in terms of between the lines and the thirds of the pitch.

“He has played wide on the left, but it would be more as a narrow midfielder here.”
