DUNN IS DELIGHTED WITH THEO

OLDHAM Athletic have swooped to sign defender Theo Vassell from Stoke City until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old spent the last fortnight training with Oldham and impressed sufficiently to earn a contract with the Latics.

And manager David Dunn believes Vassell has the potential to be a big success at Boundary Park.

He said: “He is really athletic, only 18 and definitely one for the future.

“He has a lot of very good attributes and we spoke to Mark Bowen at Stoke City about him so we have decided he is a good young signing for us.

“When I spoke to the board about him, it was one for the future, but I’m sure if he gets an opportunity in the first team he will be able to take it as well.”
