Forest on virtual victory roll
DERBY COUNTY hosted Nottingham Forest in the Championship yesterday – but they’d already lost one derby against their arch-rivals earlier in the week!
The BBC teamed up with the makers of popular computer game Football Manager to compile two virtual squads of the finest players ever to pull on the red of Forest or the white of Derby for #TheUltimateDerby.
Ex-Forest defender Brian Laws took charge of his old side for the game on the
BBC Radio Nottingham computer, while Craig Ramage was in the Rams’ hot-seat.
In the end, Forest ran out 2-1 victors in a hard-fought encounter, Nigel Clough giving them an early lead, before Steve Bloomer drew the Rams level.
After Derby’s Ron Webster was sent off for his second booking with 15 minutes left, Martin O’Neill popped up with the Reds’ winner in the 80th minute, though he did look offside.

Forest: Shilton, Anderson, Walker, Burns, Pearce, Francis, Keane, McGovern, Robertson, Clough, Collymore.
