BRIDCUTT BACK IN A HURRY
CHAMPIONSHIP
LEEDS UNITED captain Liam Bridcutt says he had completed just five days of training before being thrown on against Reading in midweek.
The 27-year-old midfielder missed 16 matches but was thrust into action when Chris Wood picked up an injury in the 30th minute.
“I’ve been fast-tracked back due to the injuries and suspensions we have, I’ve only had five days of training,” said Bridcutt.
“I’d been out ten weeks and now I have played over 70 minutes. Things like that happen in football and I am ready when called upon.
“We have a good medical team who have looked after me really well.”
