CAULEY SETS HIS SIGHTS ON GOALS

- By Andrew Lawton

NEW Burton Albion signing Cauley Woodrow has his sights set on just one thing after his move – scoring the goals that will keep the Brewers in the Championship.

The 22-year-old striker only started one league game at Fulham this season and has joined Burton on loan until the end of the campaign on Friday.

He moves to a club who find themselves in the thick of a Championship relegation battle – and battling to keep boss Nigel Clough – but Woodrow is convinced he can make a difference during his time at the Pirelli Stadium.

“It’s a striker’s job to score goals so hopefully I can do that and help Burton get up the table,” said Woodrow.

“It’s been a difficult season for me at Fulham so it’s important for me to come here, get games, hopefully score goals and help Burton do well.

“I like to work hard for the team, hold the ball up and be clever.”

Woodrow isn’t the only Fulham player to head to Burton, after midfielder Lasse Vigen Christensen, 22, also signed on loan until the end of the campaign.
