JED STARS TO CUT THE BLADES APART

-

SINCE confirming their promotions from League One last May, Millwall and Sheffield United have experienced differing fortunes in the Championship.

Chris Wilder’s Blades have earned themselves a burgeoning reputation for free-flowing football, while Millwall were looking to end a six-match winless run that had left them staring at the drop zone below.

On a bitterly cold day at The Den, Millwall proved too street-smart for their more fashionable rivals, and conjured up a brilliant opener courtesy of Lee Gregory. And despite an equally memorable strike from Blades starlet David Brooks, Milllwall gave an impressive display of their own qualities, with Jed Wallace in particular causing chaos, setting up Jake Cooper’s late goal.

With more than half a season to play, United are on course to achieve their promotion dream and while Milwall could still slip back into trouble, on this evidence they should soon be earning plaudits of their own.
