DONS ‘NOT OUT OF IT’

MK DONS are currently languishing in mid-table obscurity, but defender George Williams is still eyeing promotion.

Dons were 15th, 11 points outside the top six, before the weekend, but the 24year-old believes they can replicate the heroics he enjoyed at Barnsley in 2015-16, when they charged up the table to earn a place in the Championship.

Williams said: “I was at Barnsley and we were rock bottom at Christmas and still got promoted.

“Anything is possible in this league if you get a run of results together, so we are not panicking just yet.”
