JACKSON EYEING CUP SPOT
AFTER helping Hull to safety in the Championship, midfielder Jackson Irvine, 25, is hoping to give himself a chance of making Australia’s World Cup squad.
He has 17 caps and is now looking to end what has been a challenging first season at the KCOM Stadium in style.
Irvine said: “My only focus now is on the end of our season and hopefully I can pop up with another goal or an assist or two to help the team.
“But, of course, I also want to give myself the best possible chance of cementing my place in the Australia squad for the World Cup.”
