KARANKA CASHES IN ON MATTY

-

NOTTINGHAM Forest midfielder Matty Cash has thanked manager Aitor Karanka for putting his faith in him since taking charge at the City Ground.

Cash struggled for game time under previous boss Mark Warburton but was brought into the side by caretaker Gary Brazil – and the 20-year-old has kept his place in all but one game under Karanka.

Cash said: “Gary Brazil had given me a chance against Leeds and Arsenal and the gaffer has kept me in the side since then.

“I have loved every minute. He (Karanka) gives me confidence. He gives me the freedom to play how I want to play.”
