THERE’S NOR WAY BACK FOR CRAWLEY

-

WITHOUT doubt this was Tranmere’s best home display of the season as they tore apart a team who are in the top 10 in League Two.

It was Rovers’ third successive home win. The previous two were 1-0 victories and you felt this performance had been coming. James Norwood’s ability once again shone through. That’s 10 goals he has scored this season. Having said that, Micky Mellon rightly praised fellow forwards Paul Mullin and Conor Jennings, who also took their goals really well.

It was a good all-round attacking display. Tranmere are in the play-off places and, with more performances like this, few would back against them finishing in the top seven.

It was one to forget for Reds boss Gabriele Cioffi.

Other than a brief spell at the start of the second half, they showed very little to suggest they will hang around the top half.

They were missing Josh Payne and Bondz N’Gala, two key players, who should both be back next week for another stern test against MK Dons.
