ROSS: OUR KEEPER’S A CRACKER

The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP -

JACK Ross reserved special praise for goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin following Sunderland’s win at Doncaster.

The 31-year-old Scot – a summer arrival from Hearts – came up with two important one-onone saves in first-half stoppage-time at the Keepmoat Stadium.

“He’s been very good since he came to the club,” said Ross.

“He’s so low maintenance for a manager because of his reliability in training and games. Jonny will say those saves are part of his job.

“He stands up in the big moments and that’s why we were so keen to bring him to the club.”
