team mates

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO RESULTS - Neil Danns Bury Midfielder

Best mate?

I would probably have to say Jermaine Beckford, because we’ve been at four clubs together! We’ve known each other for a long time now, but I think it’s just coincidence that we’ve followed each other. The first time I played with him was at Leicester, then we ended up at Huddersfield, Bolton and then Bury together. Last to buy dinner? It’s a tough one, but it would probably be the gaffer (Ryan Lowe), I think. He likes to count the pennies so I would say him – I’ve not got a meal out of him yet, but I’m sure if we go up this season I will be asking for one! Worst Dressed? Definitely Tom Miller. Some of the gear he has is absolutely horrendous. I’ve seen him come in dressed in what I can only describe as old ladies’ pants. It’s such a mish-mash of stuff, including school trousers that look too small on him and a peach top that just doesn’t go – it’s not great. Dressing room DJ? Joe Murphy is the one who is in control of the stereo on matchdays. He likes his house music and it gets the lads going, to be fair. Always late for training? There have not been that many this year because the fines have gone up and we’re being strict on them, but I would have to say Byron Moore is paying the most at the minute. As we have got really strict on the fines everyone stays on the right track, but his name does pop up quite a bit. Teacher’s pet? I’d say Nicky Adams. If I’m being honest, it’s only because he’s a very likeable person and he gets on with everyone. He gets on with the gaffer and the coaches extremely well, so I would say him but for the right reasons. First on the dancefloor? There are a few dancers to be honest, but I would say Dom Telford as he likes a bit of a dance. He’s a young lad so he has all the newest moves. Most likely to disgrace themselves at the Christmas party? Probably me if I’m being honest. I don’t really get out that often so when I do it catches up with me really quick! Fifa King? There would be a few that claim it. I’m the oldest in the squad now – I’m 36 next month – so I don’t play FIFA too much, but I would have been king back in the day. I’m not sure who is actually the king but I do hear Callum Styles and Dom Telford are playing quite a bit so I would say one of them. The worst tattoo? I would have to say Tom Miller again. He’s got either a Homer Simpson or Ninja Turtles tattoo – it’s one of them. It’s not the greatest, it’s on his arm and you see it every day in the shower, so he deservedly gets the mickey taken out of him! Going to make the best manager? That’s a hard one as there’s a few who I think could make it. Joe Murphy and Stephen Dawson are both pretty vocal and I know Dawson has done his badges and stuff so I would probably say him. He’s got all the right ingredients to be a manager – whether he would be a good one or not we’ll have to wait and see, but he’s the one I would pick.
