GREEN TO PROVE HIS WORTH

ANDRE Green is ready to make his mark at Portsmouth.

Having joined Pompey on loan from Aston Villa, the 20-year-old winger was limited to just two appearances due to a knee issue. But, having scored on his comeback in midweek, when Kenny Jackett’s side beat Tottenham Under-21s in the Checkatrade Trophy, Green is looking to kick on. “It’s been a bit stopstart for me so far, so I was happy to be back out on the pitch,” he said.

“Now I’m looking to build my fitness. This is a winning side, so it’s good to be a part of that. The boys are flying and hopefully that will continue.”
