PAUL TAIT lived a boy’s own dream by scoring goals to win the Football League Trophy and the Second Division title in the space of a little over a fortnight. 2. Danny Wallace: England winger and an FA Cup winner with Man Utd. Retired when he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and now runs the Danny Wallace Foundation. 3. Paul Tait: Midfielder who scored the Wembley winner. After working as a postman for a year, he set up his own business, Midlands Soccer Coaching. 4. Kenny Lowe: England semi-profession­al internatio­nal midfielder helped Barnet into the Football League. He served Perth Glory as head coach until April . 5. Juan Miguel De Souza: Striker, was a teacher at Rushcroft School in Chingford before becoming head of academy recruitmen­t at Leyton Orient and Charlton Athletic. Is now working for Fulham. 6. Steve McGavin: Striker who won the Non-League double with Colchester. Is project director for the Aspire Media Group in Essex and has been Ipswich Town’s head of academy recruitmen­t. 7. Chris Whyte: Central defender won a First Division title with Leeds. Has worked as a chauffeur and is now running his own management company, Old Pro Management. 8. Peter Shearer: England semipro internatio­nal striker coached at Birmingham City’s academy before going into teaching and is now a PE teacher at Codsall High School. 9. Paul Harding: Midfielder who helped Notts County win promotion to Division One. After a stint living in New Zealand, he is back working in his native London in the building industry. 10. Richard Scott: The defender helped Peterborou­gh United win promotion. Had a spell as Spalding United’s manager before opening his own soccer school. 11. Lil Fuccillo: Has managed Peterborou­gh and Luton Town, where he was also technical director, and is now scouting for Bristol City. 12. Kevan Broadhurst: Has managed Northampto­n and Walsall. Is now under-15s and under-16s coach in the Blues’ academy and works in the club’s community department. 13. Andy Saville: Striker who won promotions with Preston and Wigan. Is now back living in his home town of Hull and working as a postman. 14. Dave Barnett: The defender has coached at Halesowen Town and Birmingham City’s academy and managed Romulus. he now runs a coaching company, Pro Level Performanc­e. 15. Dave Regis: Striker who won a Second Division title with Stoke. Was education and welfare officer at Charlton Athletic and is now an independen­t sports consultant. 16. Ian Bennett: Goalkeeper was a play-off winner at Huddersfie­ld, where he was academy goalkeeper coach, a role he now has at Nottingham Forest. 17. Richard Dryden: Defender, was assistant manager at Tamworth and Darlington. Managed Worcester City before joining the coaching staff at East Bengal. 18. Liam Daish: Central defender won two promotions with Cambridge United. Has managed Havant & Waterloovi­lle, Ebbsfleet United and Nuneaton. He now coaches at Brockenhur­st College. 19. Roger Willis: Midfielder who won a Conference title with Barnet. Is now a property developer in the East Midlands. 20. David Howell: The centre-back helped Barnet win promotion to the Football League. Has managed St Albans City and Harrow Borough. He has also worked as a speaker. 21. Jose Dominguez: Portugal winger has held a number of coaching jobs in his homeland and has also been head coach of Spanish side Recreativo. 22. Louie Donowa: Midfielder who won the League Cup with Norwich City. Lives in Ipswich and works for Vodafone in traffic management. 23. Gary Cooper: Midfielder who won two promotions with Peterborou­gh United. Is now back living and working in London. 24. John Frain: Midfielder won two promotions with Northampto­n. Went into financial services and worked as a mortgage underwrite­r for a Solihull company, Paragon Finance. 25. Mark Ward: The winger was voted into the PFA Team of the Year. Became framework support manager for GB Building Solutions. Is now a speaker and runs a floristry business in Liverpool. 26. Barry Fry: He moved on to Peterborou­gh United where he was manager between 1996 and 2005, then chairman and is now director of football at London Road. 27. Ed Stein: Midfielder, one of three footballin­g brothers. He later managed Harrow Borough. He now lives in Milton Keynes and is director of Ed Stein City Soccer. 28. Scott Hiley: Full-back won a promotion with Exeter City. He is now running the Eastcote guest house in the village of Clyst St Mary near Exeter in Devon. 29. Steve Claridge: A muchtravel­led striker who won a League Cup with Leicester. Managed Portsmouth, Weymouth and Millwall and is currently boss of Salisbury. Has also been a successful media pundit. 30. Paul Moulden: Striker opened a fish and chip shop called Paul’s Chippy in Horwich, Bolton and coached at Man City’s academy. 31. Neil Doherty: Winger ran InsideOut Soccer Schools for children in Barrow and coaches at the Furness Player Performanc­e Centre.
