BOWYER’S JOY OVER PAGE COUP

LEE BOWYER claims Charlton have secured the future of “probably the best left-back in the league” after Lewis Page signed a new deal.

The 22-year-old signed a new two-year contract to keep him at the club until at least 2020 – with a possible further year.

“It’s very good news,” Bowyer said. “Pagey started the season very well.

“I think once he gets back (from injury), he’ll just go on and on and get better and better.

“I think he’s a very good signing for us, I think to be honest that we’ve probably got the best left-back in the league.”
