ROBINS’ KELLY IN THE EYE OF SPURS
TOTTENHAM are keen to sign Bristol City’s promising defender Lloyd Kelly.
The 20-year-old leftback’s classy displays for the Robins in the Championship this term have caught the attention of the Premier League’s top six and Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs are well in the race.
The Bristol-born youngster made his debut in a 5-0 win against Plymouth in the Carabao Cup in August of last year and has continued to make rapid strides.
He went on to make 14 appearances last term, scoring once, and pre-weekend he had already played 18 games this term, scoring in a 4-2 defeat at West Brom.
Kelly has represented England at U20 and U21 levels and is seen by many as a Premier League player of the future.
He has usually played as a left-back, but could also have a future as a centre-half.
Liverpool have also been heavily linked with the young defender.
