BRENT­FORD fan Au­drey Baker has pur­chased the first seat at the Bees’ new sta­dium – and plans to take in the first game just after her 100th birth­day! The 98-year-old has snapped up a seat at the Brent­ford Com­mu­nity Sta­dium, which is due to open in the sum­mer of 2020. Eal­ing-born Au­drey first went to Grif­fin Park with her fa­ther in the 1930s and lists Dai Hop­kins and the pro­lific goalscorer Jack Hol­l­i­day as her favourite play­ers of yes­ter­year. She be­came Pa­tron of the club’s “Babees”, “Bee Team” and “Ju­niors” mem­ber­ship schemes ear­lier this sea­son. She said: “Brent­ford has been a big part of my life for as long as I can re­mem­ber. “It was an hon­our to be the first per­son to buy a seat and I can­not wait to watch a game there.” Brent­ford chair­man Cliff Crown said: “Au­drey has shown her com­mit­ment to Brent­ford and our am­bi­tions by sup­port­ing our ju­nior mem­ber­ships and I look for­ward to see­ing her at our first game, and many more.”
