BRUENKER DEPARTS BANTAMS
GERMAN striker Kai Bruenker has left Bradford by mutual consent 12 months after arriving from SC Freiburg II.
The 24-year-old striker, who scored just one goal in 31 outings for the Bantams, has returned to his homeland to join third tier side SG Sonnenhof Grossaspach on an 18-month deal.
“I am sad to leave, but have a great opportunity in Germany to progress my career,” said the frontman, who netted his only goal for the club in the Checkatrade Trophy 4-1 defeat at home to Oldham in October. “Hopkin is a fantastic manager and person and I wish him great success at the club.”
