VIRTUAL AWARDS SET TO REACH FOR SKY

THE prestigiou­s 2021 EFL Awards will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Football on Thursday, April 29 (7.30-9pm).

The showpiece event celebrates and recognises the continued efforts and achievemen­ts of clubs, players and individual­s during what has been an incredibly challengin­g season for everyone.

Players of the Season from the Championsh­ip, League One and League Two will be revealed alongside the EA Sports Young Player of the Season and Football Manager Team of the Season.

Work of clubs and players off the pitch will also be recognised with the Your Move Community Club of the Year announced and PFA Player in the Community.

Due to current Covid-19 restrictio­ns, the event will be staged differentl­y to previous years, with players and clubs joining presenter David Prutton virtually on Sky Sports, alongside pundits Don

Goodman and Keith Andrews.

Shortlists will be announced ahead of the awards.

Meanwhile, the EFL have confirmed the schedule for end of season and play-off fixtures.

The regular season for the Championsh­ip (12.30pm) and League Two (3pm) will conclude on Saturday, May 8, while League One will finish the following day (Noon).

The play-off semi-final first legs across the three divisions take place from Monday, May 17 to Thursday, May 20, with the second legs from Friday, May 21 to Sunday, May 23.

The Championsh­ip play-off final is at Wembley on Saturday, May 29, the League One final takes places the following day and the League Two final is on Bank Holiday Monday, May 31. All three matches kick off at 3pm.

The 2021-22 EFL fixtures will be released on Thursday, June 24 at 9am.
