HUGHTON LOOKING TO BUILD FOR NEXT SEASON

- By David Clark

NOTTINGHAM Forest manager Chris Hughton has already identified the areas where he wants to improve his side next season.

Forest have found form recently to stretch away from the wrong end of the table and Hughton wants more from his players next season.

He said: “I am delighted [with the recent form] and probably, if I look at our home and away performances, we have been more resolute away from home and had some tough fixtures.

“In recent games, the QPR one pleased me the most because it was at home. To score three goals, which is what we have found difficult, at home was hugely pleasing.

“We are in good form, I have been very happy with the development and leading towards the end of the season we want to finish the season as strongly as possible.”

The Forest boss is keen to learn from the current campaign and has stressed taking into account the absence of crowds, how that has helped and hindered his players, when he and his coaching team look back and make their plans for next season.

He said: “The importance is we evaluate the season, there are areas where we have needed to be better and a lot of that we have spoken about.

“There are so many teams that will evaluate and take into consideration the fact that there have been no crowds.”
