I CAN’T STAND THE MILLERS MOANERS

-

ROTHERHAM have what it takes to beat relegation from the Championship. And as a passionate fan, I hope they do.

I hate the disrespect that people show the Millers sometimes. The moans and complaints from opposition managers about the style of play. Would those people be whinging if they’d won? No chance. It’s because they went there, got bullied and couldn’t cope.

You’ve done your opposition analysis, or at least you should have. You knew what you were going to come up against. So try and beat it, don’t moan about it.

These are the things that make me laugh in football. People talk about styles and philosophies but you have to fit the identity of the players in the building.

Paul Warne has done that. Rotherham have got good, hard-working lads who fight for the club and they play in a style that maximises those attributes. That’s the challenge you’re going to come up against when you face them. Match it, or keep quiet. You don’t have a divine right to play football.

There are plenty of teams down there who don’t have those fighting qualities – that gives Rotherham an opportunity.
