The Football League Paper

Non-League clubs have already been awarded almost £30,000!

-

We are very excited to announce the official launch week of 1000GBP.com, our innovative new online quiz that combines challenging, original and fun football questions with a unique fundraising model for nonleague clubs.

Each week we offer 50 chances to win money, including a top prize of £1000, but with all winnings split equally between the players and their nominated nonleague clubs.

Details of how you can register and play are at www.1000GBP.com and what makes 1000GBP.com really stand out from other football quizzes is that we’ll also donate up to 30% of all player fees to their nominated side!

Since we began to trial 1000GBP.com at the start of this season more than £55,000 has already been awarded in total prize money and donations to participants and their nominated clubs. We hope that, together with football supporters at all levels, we’ll be able to help raise much-needed funds for our smaller local teams and challenge your football knowledge!

We know that these are often very difficult financial times for many football clubs around the country, but especially in the lower parts of our football pyramid, and that is why we specifically decided to focus on raising funds for Level 5 and below.

1000GBP.com initially went live at the end of September 2023 on a limited trial basis in a small number of areas. As we now roll-out the project across the whole of England we are thrilled that 113 different non-league clubs have already had money donated to them as a result of their supporters taking part in our online football quiz and nominating the teams they’d like to benefit when they play and win.

As of February 11th the current top ten benefitting non-league clubs are Saffron Walden Town FC (£7315), FC Romania (£3424), Colney Heath FC (£2552), FC Clacton (£1970), Frenford FC (£1808),

Stapenhill FC (£1582), West Essex FC (£1109), Hendon FC (£1043), Billingham Town FC (£908) and Buckhurst Hill FC (£699).

And many congratulations also go to the individual players of our 1000GBP.com football quiz who have collectively already won more than £26,000 in prize money. To sign up and play the quiz yourself, please go to www.1000GBP.com for all the information and updates.
