Pony club fun atValleyfield camp
Stewartry Pony Club’s annual camp was held at Valleyfield, Twynholm, recently.
It was a hugely successful week with all campers and ponies thoroughly enjoying themselves.
Activities included a trip to James Smith’s yard to meet the famous Tyson, an extremely informative talk on horse worming from Graham Bell at Stewartry Vets and a swim at Kirkcudbright Pool.
All the campers had the opportunity to practice over the cross country course and the show jumps as well as helpful instruction with their dressage.
Sarah Clark and Justine Hunter were instructing for the week and both were very impressed with the children.
Chief Instructor Sarah said: “It was a delight to look after and teach such well mannered children - I just wish we’d had another couple of days”.
The club would like to thank Mr and Mrs T Clark for the venue.
