A van driver is to face trial at Dumfries Sheriff Court on a charge of driving dangerously on the A75 road near Castle Douglas.
John Foster, 56, ofTorrs Cottage, Kirkcudbright, pleaded not guilty to committing the offence earlier this year by carrying out an overtaking manoeuvre in darkness contrary to a solid white line and causing the driver of an oncoming vehicle to brake harshly and narrowly avoid a collision.
Trial has been set for November.
A 35-year-old man who was found in possession of ecstasy at the Eden Festival in June has been fined £300 at Dumfries Sheriff Court.
Greig Pickthall, of High Street, Gatehouse, admitted committing the offence at Raehills in June.
The court was told that he had been stopped at the entrance and found to have 15 tablets worth £150.
Meanwhile a 21-year-old man from Market Drayton will face trial on three charges of being in possession of drugs at the festival.
Edward Bamforth pleaded not guilty to being in possession of cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy.
His trial was set for December.
A woman, who drove with more than double the permitted drink limit in her breath in Castle Douglas, has been fined £400 and banned from driving for 12 months.
Claire Craxton, 32, from Newmilns, pleaded guilty to committing the offence in Academy Street in Castle Douglas last month.
