DC back behind the wheel in Glasgow spectacular
David Coulthard wowed the crowds in Glasgow at the weekend.
The retired F1 star fromTwynholm made a rare appearance on home soil at the Ignition Festival of Motoring, held at the SECC.
DC got behind the wheel of the RB7 which Sebastian Vettel used to win the world championship for Red Bull Racing in 2011.
Coulthard, who now works as a co-commentator on Channel 4’s grand prix coverage, drove demo laps on a specially built street circuit around the iconic SSE Hydro and Clyde Auditorium – more commonly known as the Armadillo.
He also excited fans by performing donuts, signing autographs and posing for selfies.
DC appeared on two of the three days the festival was held which offered motorsport nuts the chance to see some iconic cars in action.
Also performing at the show were Lochfoot rallycross team Albatec Racing who took along a pair of their Peugeot 208 RX Supercars.
Team principal Andy Scott and European Rallycross ChampionTommy Rustad drove the cars, delighting the large crowd with their power and wheelspin.
