Kirkcudbright’s annual grand parade takes place on Saturday.
Organisers are hoping there will be plenty of entries with judging set to take place at Millflats from 1.30pm.
The procession starts at 2.15pm with the parade – which will feature Kirkcudbright and District Pipe Band and Annan Town Band – expected to arive in Harbour Square at around 4pm.
There will be plenty of entertainment in Harbour Square all day including children’s rides, a beer tent and a barbecue.
Tide times mean this year’s Kirkcudbright Rotary Club Duck Race will also take place this weekend, the action starting from the harbour at 1pm on Sunday.
And Saturday, August 28, is when the Summer Festivities reach their climax with the grand floodlit tattoo.
The star attractions this year will be Trim the Velvet Irish dancers and the Royal Marine Cadets.
The performance begins at 7.30pm and tickets can be bought online www.ticketsource.co.uk/kirkcudbright
The following day is also busy in Kirkcudbright with a farmers’ market, vintage fair and the popular classic car rally in Harbour Square, with cars gathering from 9.30am.
