Trib­ute to the Bard

Hardgate Pri­mary School pupils paid trib­ute to the Bard when they held a Burns Lunch re­cently.

Jamie carr ied the hag­gis in ac­com­pa­nied by Bert McRobert on the pipes.

The ad­dress to the hag­gis was read by Craw­ford and Mariena led the Selkirk Grace be­fore the chil­dren tucked into their lunch.

An al­ter­na­tive to hag­gis was also served – baked pota­toes and cheesy beans!

Af­ter lunch the pupils en­ter­tained some of the par­ents with songs and Scots verse.
