A cof­fee morn­ing was held in Cas­tle Dou­glas on Satur­day to help or­phans in Africa.

Jenny Spence or­gan­ised the fundraiser in the Gor­don Me­mo­rial Hall in aid of Ab­bas Rest or­phans in Malawi. As well as be­ing able to en­joy a cuppa and sam­ple some tasty bak­ing, peo­ple who dropped in could also browse a va­ri­ety of stalls.

The event was vis­ited by Madge Irv­ing, a trustee with the char­ity.

Jenny and friends would like to thank every­one who helped and sup­ported the cof­fee morn­ing, which raised a to­tal of £511.
