Quarter final line-up decided
Castle Douglas B beat Dalbeattie by 61 shots to 44 in Friday night’s KBA Cup tie at Auchencairn and Spalding beat Kirkcudbright A 64-58 at Castle Douglas.
This week’s quarter final draw now reads: Castle Douglas B v Spalding at Dalbeattie, Castle Douglas A v Kirkcudbright B at Gatehouse, Creetown v Gatehouse at Kirkcudbright and Auchencairn v New Abbey at Castle Douglas.

The Gent’s National Championships got under way on Monday night with District preliminary round ties in the junior singles.

The Dumfries and Galloway Under 25 team take on Ayrshire at Creetown on Sunday and the Stewartry are well represented with James Richardson (Dalbeattie), James Pickthall (Gatehouse), Ewan McMinn, Keigan McMinn and Kevin McDonald (all Kirkcudbright) in the team. Last season the team reached the semi final before losing to eventual winners Edinburgh and Leith.
