In­sight on char­ity

Robin Hood from SWS RnR was the speaker at the April meet­ing of Clare brand SWI.

Mrs Mary Bur­ney wel­comed ev­ery­one and be­gan by con­grat­u­lat­ing Olive Kirk­patrick and Lil­ian Jar­dine who had passed their hand-knit­ting tests be­fore hand­ing the meet­ing over to Robin.

Robin be­gan his talk by ex­plain­ing that SWS RnR is a lo­cal char­ity which helps sol­diers re­turn­ing from war zones who have lost limbs or suf­fer from com­bat stress etc to help build a new life for them­selves.

A house was do­nated to the char­ity where the vet­er­ans can stay for a while to re­cover and whilst there they re­ceive coun­selling.

Mary thanked Robin for his most in­spir­ing talk and wished him every suc­cess in this ven­ture.
