Day of sport­ing suc­cess

Hardgate, Lochrut­ton and Springholm Pri­mary Schools held their part­ner­ship sports day at Springholm.

The for­mat was pot­ted sports in the morn­ing, pic­nic lunch and then tra­di­tional races in the af­ter­noon.

Thanks go to Tesco for pro­vid­ing all three schools with fruit and wa­ter for a morn­ing snack.

The win­ning teams for the pot­ted sports were: gold medal – Ire­land; sil­ver medal – Den­mark; bronze medal – Great Bri­tain.

The cross part­ner­ship house re­sults fol­low­ing the tra­di­tional races were: 1 Sol­way (Lochrut­ton); 2 Crif­fel (Lochrut­ton); 3 Ea­gles (Hardgate); 4 Spring (Springholm)

The ju­nior sports cham­pion for Springholm was Josh S in P2/3/4 and the senior cham­pion was Tilda from P5/6/7.
