MP ‘thrilled’ at new role
Dumfries and Galloway MP Alister Jack has been appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to the leader of the House of Lords.
As PPS to Baroness Evans of Bowes Park, Mr Jack will liaise between the Commons and Lords. He will work with the Whips’ offices in both Houses as key Brexit legislation comes forward in the months ahead.
In what is a two- way process, he will also relay what the Lords are thinking back to the Government.
Mr Jack was “thrilled” to have been appointed to the role by Prime Minister Theresa May.
