Walking group ventures into Creetown hills
Gatehouse of Fleet and District Walking Group enjoyed excellent weather for a walk into the woods and hills above Creetown last Wednesday.
After welcoming a new member to the group, a party of 12 walked up into Cassencarie Wood from the town centre to follow a route round Fell Quarries and Larg and Knockeans Hills.
The group then made their way down into Balloch Wood and back to Creetown, where Douglas McDavid gave a guided tour of the museum as a to round off the day.
All enjoyed the excellent displays and felt the museum was well worth a visit.
The walkers then returned to Gatehouse for the usual coffee stop after a relatively easy but really enjoyable outing, with great views over the Cree estuary.
Good day out Members of the Gatehouse of Fleet and District Walking Group at Creetown
