Provost praises Kirkcud­bright in Bloom win­ners

This year’s Kirkcud­bright in Bloom win­ners were an­nounced at the Septem­ber meet­ing of the town’s com­mu­nity coun­cil.

Provost Les­ley Gar­butt thanked ev­ery­one for keep­ing Kirkcud­bright look­ing so bright. Com­mu­nity coun­cil­lors Lind­say Forbes and David McHale pre­sented the prizes.

Prize win­ners Large gar­den: 1 Mr & Mrs J Mil­roy, 63 Hor­nel Road; 2 Mr & Mrs A Callander, 1 Princess Street; 3 Mrs A McA­dam, 29 Merse Road.

Small gar­den: 1 Mr & Mrs A Maxwell, 24 Maxwell Wynd; 2 Mrs El­iz­a­beth McKe­and, 50 Merse Road; 3 Mr B McCune, 25 Hor­nel Road.

Large con­tainer: 1 Mr J Clark, Drium, 42 Stir­ling Cres­cent; 2 Mr & Mrs B Tay­lor, 26 Millflats; 3 Miss C Wil­son, 12 Vic­to­ria Place.

Small con­tainer: 1 Mr J Henry, 43 Hor­nel Road; 2 Mrs Rus­sell, 6 Tan­pits Lane; 3 Mr & Mrs A Craw­ford, Ap­ple­ton, 19 Mt Pleas­ant Road.
