The GSi badge is a desirable aspect of any Vauxhall vehicle; the success of the Insignia GSi underlines this.

That’s why Vauxhall has decided to refresh one of its most revered classics. Twenty-five years after it first appeared, the GSi is back, this time on the Corsa, and is available at James Haugh Dumfries.

For Dumfries motorists on the lookout for a hot new hatchback, look no further.

The 2018 incarnation not only looks and feels great, at £18,995 onthe-road it appeals as something of a great investment for those who want to enjoy time behind the wheel of a car that’s sporty, stylish and solid.

Picking up where the VXR left off, this Corsa GSi is a distinctive, funlooking car and, with its 1.4-litre turbo engine, drivers will feel the benefits of aligned, controlled power.

Christopher Haugh, sales manager at James Haugh Dumfries, said: “The Vauxhall Corsa has always been one of our most popular models because, to put it simply, it has always been stylish, affordable and safe but with a touch of innovation and glamour.

“Over the years its appeal has grown to a much wider audience and the modern Corsa is a car that satisfies all driving tastes and requirements.

“With this new GSi, Vauxhall has listened to what motorists have been saying they want from a car, considered the influences that shape their purchases and drive their motoring needs.”

Boasting a stylish bodykit that features a honeycomb grille, thick sills and bumper vents, customers can, if they want, specify their new Corsa GSi with lightweight alloy wheels to optimise performance.

Tinted rear windows, LED daytime running lights and a leather-covered flat- bottom steering wheel are other features to tempt buyers to embroider their investment.

Available as a three-door, there’s still plenty of space for passengers and a decent-sized boot at 285-litres. The rear seats can fold down to create extra room if required.

A sculpted bonnet, chrome tailpipe and red-painted front brake calipers also help to differentiate this sporty Corsa GSi from others in the range.

The 2018 Corsa GSi is the freshest upgrade yet in the evolution of a modern classic.
