Success on a plate
Charity lunch raised £1,000
A soup and sweet lunch at Kirkcudbright raised more than £ 1,000 for Pancreatic Cancer Scotland.
Friday’s event, held in memory of local woman Issy Pitcairn, made an incredible £1,071.
A wonderful array of soups and sweets were made and served up by an enthusiatic group of volunteers in the bowling club.
Tom Pitcairn, Issy’s husband said: “What a team, they were fantastic.
“Special thanks to Jean McMillan who organised everything down to the last detail.
“Thanks also to Kirkcudbright Bowling Club for use of their excellent clubhouse.
“And of course, thanks to all who came along and gave so generously to this charity.”
