The Galloway News - - DISTRICT NEWS -

It’s that time of year again!

This year’s Kirkcudbright Academy pantomime production is Alibaba and the Forty Thieves which will be performed in the Cochran Hall next Thursday and Friday, December 13 and 14.

Drama teacher Jo Jackson-Bonning said: “The students have been working very hard since the start of term in August to ensure that the usual high

standard is maintained and our audiences have a superb time.

“We have a splendid group of performers who are getting so much from developing skills that will help them in the outside world. It’s always more than just entertainment; it gives them greater confidence in life and a set of memories which will last a lifetime.”

The show is a collaboration between the creative arts faculty: drama, music

and art, showcasing the students’ skills and talents in these areas, from actors on the stage, artists doing backdrops and props and a live music band.

She added: “We are looking forward to performing to full houses on both nights kick-starting the Christmas season with a show to remember.”

The show starts at 7pm both days and tickets are £5, £4 for concessions and £16 for a family ticket.
